Having earned his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, Lucas joined Daunais McKay & Harms as a Student-at-Law in December 2023.

His academic journey was marked by active participation in the TRU OutLaws, the faculty of law's 2SLGBTQIA+ student group, working to create community and increase equity and inclusion at the law school. During his final year of legal studies, Lucas spent a semester abroad at EBS Universität in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Lucas was introduced to the practice of law as a summer student for a Calgary-based geothermal energy company. Although he reflects fondly on this experience, Lucas eagerly anticipates embarking on the next chapter of his career within a people-centred legal practice – committed to helping clients achieve the best possible solution with practical recommendations and effective representation.

Off-duty, you can catch Lucas indulging in Calgary's vibrant restaurant scene, wake surfing at the lake in the summer, and travelling to new and exciting destinations.
